Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality patient care in Corvallis, Oregon. The ideal candidate should have PCU experience along with strong cardiac monitoring and EKG skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient status.
- Perform and interpret basic EKGs as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN License – Required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS – Required
- AHA ACLS – Required
- NIHSS – Required
Preferred Experience
- PCU experience – Preferred
- Basic EKG experience – Preferred
- Previous experience caring for higher-acuity patients in a hospital setting.
