# Senior Quality Assurance Analyst
**Location:** Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
**Pay Rate:** $60/hr on W2
**Work Schedule:** 37.5 hours/week, no overtime
## Position Overview
We are seeking a **Senior Quality Assurance Analyst** to support testing activities for enterprise mainframe and web-based systems, including a major cloud rehosting initiative. The role will focus on requirements analysis, test case development and execution, defect management, test reporting, and ensuring software quality throughout frequent releases.
## Key Responsibilities
* Analyze business and functional requirements for mainframe and web-based enterprise systems.
* Participate in JAD sessions, technical walkthroughs, and requirements discussions.
* Conduct GAP analysis to identify deficiencies in requirements, business rules, and testing approaches.
* Design, maintain, and execute functional and regression test cases.
* Perform manual and automated testing as required.
* Conduct functional, smoke, black-box, and white-box testing.
* Identify, document, analyze, and track software defects through resolution.
* Participate in defect triage meetings and provide root-cause analysis information.
* Prepare test plans, test results, test case summaries, and other QA documentation.
* Develop day-to-day test metrics and status reports.
* Collaborate with Test Managers, Business Analysts, SMEs, developers, and project teams.
* Review requirements and use cases to ensure they support effective testing.
* Follow established QA methodologies, standards, templates, and procedures.
* Provide clear and concise communication through email, meetings, and collaboration tools.
* Support project schedules, testing activities, and ad-hoc QA requirements.
## Required Skills
* Strong experience with **IBM Mainframe testing**.
* Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques.
* Experience with **functional, regression, smoke, black-box, and white-box testing**.
* Experience developing and executing detailed test cases and scenarios.
* Strong requirements analysis and GAP analysis skills.
* Experience with defect tracking, triage, and root-cause analysis.
* Fundamental knowledge of **cloud technologies, particularly AWS and/or Azure**.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience working independently and collaboratively within project teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with **JIRA or similar defect/project tracking tools**.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, including **MS Project**.
## Preferred Skills
* Experience working in **healthcare or government environments**.
* Experience supporting **mainframe modernization or cloud rehosting projects**.
* Experience with eligibility, enrollment, or other large-scale enterprise systems.
## Work Arrangement
This is a **hybrid position in Quincy, MA**. Candidates should be prepared to work onsite when requested and attend the final interview onsite.
