Fundraising Administrative Intern

About the Role
United Way of Utah County is seeking a Fundraising Administrative Intern to support our Senior Director of Resource Development. This is a great opportunity for a student or emerging professional looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, and grant research.
Time Commitment & Location
· 10 hours per week (flexible schedule).
· Must be able to work in person at our Provo office during business hours (M–F, 8 AM–5 PM).
· Occasional morning, evening or weekend events and meetings may be available for additional learning opportunities (optional).
· Internship duration: mid-January to mid-April (flexible timeline).
What You’ll Gain

· Experience working alongside Resource Development, Marketing, Volunteer Center, and Finance teams that support fundraising efforts across Central and Southern Utah.
· Hands-on training with fundraising and marketing platforms such as Salesforce, email platforms, and donation websites.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and research support to the Senior Director of Resource Development, which could include:
- Researching and proposing a new donor recognition and milestone program
- Corporate sponsor research: Identifying potential funding opportunities, assessing requirements, and tracking deadlines.
- Donor database management: Updating and maintaining donor contact records in Salesforce CRM.
- Event coordination: Assisting with sending invitations to current and prospective donors.
- Storytelling & impact sharing: Gathering and organizing program impact stories and statistics for donor communications
- Meeting preparation: Assembling materials for donor meetings and planning sessions.
Ideal Candidate

· Detail-oriented, quick learner, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new platforms like Salesforce and SharePoint.
