About the Role
United Way of Utah County is seeking a Fundraising Intern to support our Senior Director of Resource Development. This is a great opportunity for a student or emerging professional looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, and grant research.
Time Commitment & Location
- 10–15 hours per week (flexible schedule).
- Must be able to work in person at our Provo office during business hours (M–F, 8 AM–5 PM).
- Occasional morning, evening or weekend events and meetings may be available for additional learning opportunities (optional).
- Internship duration:
- mid-April to mid-August (flexible timeline, but starting early April is preferred).
- mid-August through mid-December (flexible timeline, but starting early August is preferred).
This is an unpaid, parttime internship.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct prospecting reach and introductory meetings to identify new corporate partners, sponsorship opportunities, and community investment leads, including analyzing engagement data and supporting strategic outreach efforts.
- Maintain and analyze donor and fundraising data in Salesforce CRM, ensuring data accuracy, generating insights for goal setting, and tracking company engagement over time.
- Support donor stewardship and communications by developing campaign materials, email templates, impact reports, and storytelling assets that highlight program outcomes and donor impact.
- Assist with event and campaign execution, including managing RSVPs, supporting Day of Caring planning, and helping prepare sponsorship and engagement materials.
- Provide administrative and systems support by organizing files, building internal tracking systems, and managing project workflows to improve efficiency across fundraising initiatives.
