Position Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Shipping Manager, the Shipping Clerk will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments from the Warehouse by performing the responsibilities listed below.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sign drivers in and out, complete BOL paperwork, close orders in WMS
- Manage and update real time area for tracking of all shipments as well as dock door assignments
- Sign for deliveries and send out communication to employees for packages or deliver as necessary
- Repackage sample requests
- Manage donation requests
- Create FedEx labels.
- Plan and complete samples/donation requests in WMS
- Direct calls, page, take message and relay them accordingly, provide directions to the facility, and provide general information as requested
- Greet all visitors and notify the proper associate of their arrival
- Provide GMP agreements, hairnets and beard nets as needed for visitors
- Other duties as assigned
Workplace Safety:
- Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor.
- Participates in mandatory safety trainings and adheres to all safety policies
- Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries
Quality & Food Safety:
- Completes quality & food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor.
- Participates in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements
- Preserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined. Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies
- Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 2 years of experience working in an administrative support role preferred
- Flexible, adaptable, commitment to problem solving and identifying solutions
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities with a positive attitude
- Detail oriented, accurate, with excellent communication skills
- Technologically intuitive. Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.)
- Ability to prioritize, plan and organize tasks
- Able to lift 30 pounds regularly
- Ability and willingness to become forklift certified
