Job Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in accounts payable and a strong understanding of financial processes. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper approval
- Maintain and update accounts payable records
- Prepare and execute payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Accounts Payable experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications (optional):
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
