Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Staff Accountant
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Process vendor, overhead invoices
- Monthly accounting close duties: journal entries, account analyses, preparation of reports
- Accountable for balance sheet reconciliations and understanding of underlying support documents
- Provides necessary financial support as an active member of the accounting team
- Other duties as assigned
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
- Bachelor degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance, preferred
- Two to Three years’ experience in varied financial/analytical and accounting positions, required
- Freight Forwarding experience, preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of accounting including ability to read, interpret and analyze financial statements and related reporting
- Ability to analyze monthly financials for key variances
- Self-starter with desire to achieve
- Strong computer/information technology skills and knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong team player and business partner
