Sr Assembly Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Assembly Technician to play a pivotal role in assembling complex aerospace wire harnesses and cable assemblies that meet stringent military and aerospace standards. This position requires technical expertise, precision, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products to support critical industries across the nation.

• Perform assembly and wiring of various electronic equipment, components, and mechanical assemblies, adhering to IPC-A-620 standards.
• Execute tasks such as point-to-point wiring, cable and harness installation, and intricate wiring of chassis, consoles, and control enclosures.
• Interpret and work from assembly drawings, wire lists, and schematics to produce accurate assemblies.
• Utilize a variety of hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, and crimping tools efficiently.
• Apply practical knowledge of basic electrical circuits, equipment, and practices during the assembly process.
• Assemble printed wiring boards (PWB), performing through-hole and surface mount terminations on circuit boards.
• Accurately complete paperwork and documentation to maintain compliance with production and quality standards.
• Follow strict departmental and company procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and optimizing processes.
  
  

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or on-the-job experience is highly desired.
• Proven experience in wire harness assembly and ability to interpret complex diagrams and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of IPC-A-620 standards and aerospace wire harness assembly practices.
• Solid soldering skills and familiarity with solder sleeves and other aerospace-grade components.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and schematics confidently.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment in electromechanical assembly processes.
• Strong attention to detail with a focused commitment to workmanship and quality standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for effective communication.
