Position Title: Administrative Counselor - Cemetery Services
Location: Montgomery County, Maryland
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire (On-Site)
Compensation: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with alternating Saturdays
Overview:
Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a compassionate and community-focused organization in Montgomery County to hire Administrative Counselors for their Cemetery Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who are empathetic, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting families during deeply meaningful moments. You'll play a vital role in helping families navigate burial arrangements with professionalism and care.
Primary Duties:
- Act as a trusted guide for families, assisting with burial arrangements and ensuring their wishes are honored with sensitivity.
- Manage administrative tasks such as preparing contracts, scheduling services, and completing required documentation.
- Provide clear and compassionate education on burial options, including plots, memorials, and related services.
- Coordinate with funeral homes, religious institutions, and other service providers to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Offer ongoing support to families before, during, and after services, addressing concerns with empathy.
- Collaborate with cemetery operations teams to ensure burial sites are respectfully prepared.
- Assist with pre-need planning, helping families make future arrangements.
- Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all visitors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in administrative support and customer service, preferably in a high-touch environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide comfort during emotional situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask with discretion and sensitivity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
- Familiarity with burial processes and regulations is a plus (training provided)
