Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department
- Lead, coach, and develop respiratory therapists, including staffing and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulatory standards
- Partner with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor department performance, quality metrics, and productivity
- Oversee respiratory equipment, supplies, and budget planning
- Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of respiratory therapy staff
- Promote evidence-based respiratory care practices and continuous improvement
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- Active Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 8 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
- 5 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
