What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist - Echo Lab position at UC Davis Center for Precision Medicine and Data Sciences?
American Registration for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification with applicable credential [e.g., Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT, etc.], or equivalent certification
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR
High School diploma or equivalent work experience / training
1-2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in an acute care setting or have successful completion of UC Davis Echocardiography Externship.
Ability to perform all requested 2-D /3D, stress echo examinations as ordered by the attending physician.
Ability to perform and understands advanced cardiac analytics: cardiac mechanics (strain), 3D/4Dvolumes and analytics as they become commercially available.
Have working knowledge of transesophageal echocardiograms, and ultrasound guided transcatheter therapies and structural heart procedures.
Ability to effectively operate ultrasound equipment. Have a working knowledge of different ultrasound systems (i.e., Siemens SC 2000, Philips-Epiq, CX50, iE33).
