Job Description
Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting Inpatient Rehab (IPR) and Acute Care settings, delivering speech therapy, swallowing therapy, and communication disorder treatment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, assess, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders across adult and geriatric populations
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized speech therapy treatment plans in inpatient rehab and acute care settings
- Provide dysphagia therapy, oral-pharyngeal treatment, and communication rehabilitation
- Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and clinical reports accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and rehab staff
- Educate patients and families on therapy plans, home programs, and recovery strategies
- Participate in weekend rotation (~every 4th weekend) and holiday coverage as required
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards, regulatory guidelines, and facility protocols
- Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Speech Therapist, Speech Therapy
- Inpatient Rehab SLP, Acute Care SLP, Dysphagia Therapy, Swallowing Disorders
- Communication Disorders, Oral Motor Therapy, Cognitive-Communication Therapy
- Patient Evaluation, Treatment Planning, Clinical Documentation

- Basic Computer Skills, Clinical Software, Documentation Systems
- Kentucky SLP License required
- BLS Certification required
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Minimum 1 year travel experience required
