Role Overview
This role supports DeKalb Public Health in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of patient data within the MyInsight Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The analyst will identify and resolve data entry errors, clinical data gaps, and duplicate records in alignment with billing and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Use SQL queries and MyInsight reporting tools to identify and correct front desk data entry errors
- Audit benefit assignments, insurance relationships, and patient checkout statuses
- Analyze service records for billing compliance; correct missing E/M codes, office visit entries, and vaccination admin fee gaps
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data entry workflows for each program
- Identify, merge, and clean duplicate patient records to ensure EHR consistency
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience with EHR systems (MyInsight by Netsmart preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and report generation
- Experience with data cleanup and auditing in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of healthcare billing requirements (Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance)
- Understanding of ICD/CPT coding and E/M documentation standards
- Prior experience in a public health or clinical setting
- Familiarity with Patagonia Health or similar public health platforms
- Must be local to Metro Atlanta; no relocation or remote work permitted
- Standard schedule: Monday Friday, 8 hours/day
