We are currently seeking: Low Voltage Technician
We’re seeking a motivated Entry-Level Low Voltage Technician to join our structured cabling and security installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a hands-on career in the low-voltage field, including data, communications, and security systems. You’ll work closely with experienced technicians on commercial and residential job sites to install and support low-voltage infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pull, route, and secure Cat6/6A and fiber optic cables.
- Install devices such as jacks, faceplates, patch panels, cameras, and network hardware.
- Assist with mounting equipment racks, conduits, and cable supports.
- Label and document cable runs according to site standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment under supervision.
- Assist senior technicians with terminations, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the crew leader or project manager.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Dependable and punctual with good communication skills.
- Prior experience in construction, electrical, or low-voltage work is a plus (but not required).
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred (Not Required)
- OSHA 10 certification
- Basic understanding of cabling standards and color codes
- BICSI Installer I Certification or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
