Accountant (Cash Operations Focus)
I’m working with a high-growth financial services platform seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in cash application and reconciliations who wants exposure to complex, contract-based accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Apply high-volume cash receipts to underlying contracts and agreements
• Reconcile cash activity and investigate discrepancies across systems
• Analyze and allocate payments across principal, interest, and fees
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve variances and reporting issues
• Support a fast-paced, process-driven accounting environment
Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables required)
• Experience working with contracts, loans, or structured payment schedules preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and explain discrepancies
• High attention to detail and ability to manage volume
Preferred Backgrounds:
• Financial services, lending, or credit environments
• Equipment leasing or asset-based finance
• Mortgage servicing or loan operations
• High-volume transactional accounting roles
