What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Utility Worker position at Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to establish and maintain positive, professional, and cooperative working relationships.
- Able to communicate effectively with those contacted in the course of work at all levels, including Tribal members, other Rancheria residents, internal staff and co-workers and the public.
- Complete needed construction, repair, and maintenance projects as assigned by Facilities Maintenance Manager and follow direction in a safe and professional manner.
- Operate and maintain hand tools (shovels, axes, Mc-Clouds, rakes, etc., as well as small power tools (drills, air-tools, etc.).
- Must be able to work in the field on rugged terrain and perform manual lifting to (50) lbs.
- Perform handyman jobs.
- Internal and external building repair, paint, and maintenance.
- Minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Maintain drains and downspouts.
- Complete timely quarterly and annual maintenance checks for air filters, light bulbs, etc.
- Available to assist with emergency grounds maintenance from time to time.

- Possess High School Diploma or GED or be willing to complete requirements for GED during employment (within 6 months after employment is established).
- Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed.
- Possess effective communication skills.
- Must be reliable, show up for work on time, and ready for work.
- Must be willing to attend training and local seminars as needed to upgrade job skills.
- Must be able to work in the field on rugged terrain and perform manual lifting to (50) lbs.
- Willing to take instruction and report job needs to supervisory staff.
- A willingness to adhere to all tribally adopted safety policies and procedures.
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license (Class B preferred) and comply with the requirements of the Tribe’s driving policy and insurance requirements.
Salary : $20 - $24
