What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Youth Participant position at Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council?
Work Assignment:
- Each participant will receive on-the-job training from the Summer Youth Training Coordinator and on-site immediate supervisor.
- On-the-Job training will consist of, but not be limited to:
- Familiarity with the Employee Handbook
- Proper time and attendance reporting
- Suitable work attire and general appearance guidelines
- Understanding of reporting relationships
- Participants shall be responsible for compliance and adherence to all Tribal and on-site workplace and departmental policies and procedures.
- Prior to beginning work, participants will sign confirmation stating they understand the relevant policies and procedures.
- No summer youth participant will drive another participant to his or her work.
Participants need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be between the ages of 14-23; and
- Have a valid school issued work permit if enrolled in a Tuolumne County School: and
- A valid and current photo I.D. for those under 18, or current driver’s license for those between 18 and 23.
- In addition to the foregoing and subject to verification in the following priority
a. Be an enrolled member of the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians; or
b. Be of lineal descent of an enrolled Tribal member: or
c. Permanently reside in an enrolled Council member’s household within
the primary service area of Tuolumne County.
