Job Description
Oversees the day-to-day functions and operations in five departments, which includes approximately 170 employees, comprised of faculty, staff, residents, fellows, post-docs, students, and temporary workers.
Responsibilities include supervision of staff and interaction between faculty and staff in each section and assisting the Director and the Chairmen in implementing departmental plans and policies. The Clinical Administrator III also directly supervises the Credentialing Specialists, the Executive Assistant, the temporary employees, and the student workers. The Clinical Administrator III is responsible for overseeing faculty and staff recruitment, as well as staff appointments and faculty offer letters, the coordination of special projects, oversight and/or management of special events, appointments/reappointments and promotions of faculty and staff, meetings planning, and liaison for Department with Vice President's office, Dean's office, Development, Personnel Services, and other departments within Tulane, and interrelating with outside agencies are other vital functions of this position.
