Job Description
Position functions to serve as the Office of Study Abroad's first point of contact and primary information resource representative for front desk phones and walk-in inquiries. First to arrive daily, this position checks messages on office voicemail & email account and directs inquiries to the appropriate staff. Provides information, applications, and other materials to students upon request. Working with Center for Global Education staff, keeps track of the Office of Study Abroad budget and expenditures and makes office supply and other necessary purchases. Assists in the formulation, establishment, and execution of administrative procedures for the Office of Study Abroad.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree
Proficiency using a variety of software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
Preferred Qualification
Experience in the fields of international education or study abroad programming

Responsibilities
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to effectively manage and maintain large volumes of email correspondence
- Event planning experience
- Ability to work independently and without supervision when needed, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet assigned deadlines; capacity to take direction and mentoring for improvement.
- Experience generating social media and website content
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with multiple constituents including students, staff, and study abroad representatives
