  • Should be flexible in handling projects and shifting priorities.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess strong business ethics and judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Able to make sound independent decisions.
  • This is an outstanding opportunity for a finance leader who wants to step into a role with real visibility, real complexity, and real influence—one where the quality of the work directly impacts how the business plans, performs, and makes decisions.

    Position overview

This opportunity sits at the center of financial decision support for a complex pharmaceutical business and is far more than a traditional FP&A role. It is a key position for a finance professional who understands how to translate revenue into reality, specifically by managing the bridge from gross sales to net sales, and from accrual-based forecasting to cash visibility.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping leadership make informed, financially sound decisions by owning and strengthening the forecasting processes that matter most to the business. This includes deep involvement in Gross-to-Net (GTN) forecasting, cash flow forecasting, scenario modeling, business analytics, and executive-level financial support.

This role is especially important because it operates at the intersection of multiple high-value business functions, including FP&A, commercial finance, accounting, treasury, market access, and compliance. The person in this seat must be capable of understanding the moving parts behind pharmaceutical pricing, customer contracts, government-related programs, reserve assumptions, and timing of cash realization, while also communicating clearly with senior stakeholders across the organization.

The ideal profile is a hands-on finance leader with strong analytical depth, excellent judgment, and the ability to move comfortably between detail and strategy. This person will be expected to build confidence in the numbers, improve forecasting rigor, and provide leadership with actionable financial insights in an environment where precision, control, and business partnership are essential.

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    Gross-to-Net Forecasting

    • Lead the development, review, and governance of GTN forecasts at the product, portfolio, and consolidated levels.

    • Assess drivers of GTN variability and performance versus forecast, budget, and prior periods.
    • Ensure alignment between GTN forecast assumptions, market access strategies, and contractual terms.

    Cash Flow Forecasting

    • Develop and manage short-term and long-range cash flow forecasts tied to sales, GTN, and payment timing.
    • Partner with Treasury and Accounting to translate GTN accruals into accurate cash receipts and disbursements.
    • Lead scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess cash flow impacts from pricing, utilization, mix, and policy changes.

    Business Partnership & Decision Support

    • Oversee financial planning deliverables including AOP, forecasts, and cash forecasting.
    • Lead inter-market and cross-functional IBP decision alignment, driving unbiased financial intelligence in decisions focused on achieving commercial performance targets.
    • Facilitate alignment in financial reporting and performance management between corporate finance, commercial finance, and other operational functions.
    • Implement reliable cash forecasting and advance financial planning and analysis capabilities.
    • Build an integrated forecast model, establish an appropriate planning cadence, and partner with key business leaders to improve forecast accuracy and organizational transparency.
    • Create scenario models as part of forecast updates to provide robust visibility into the business.
    • Support and build operating metrics to track key strategic priorities.
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret meaningful financial trends and propose action plans for improvement.
    • Track results against budget, prior period, and latest estimates.
    • Compare results to trend rates, outcome goals, and target metrics.
    • Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends.
    • Manage and develop financial reports that support and simplify monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes.
    • Prepare executive presentations and other ad hoc analysis as required.
    • Support business partners with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on operational and financial results, as well as ad hoc requests as they arise.
