Business Development Representative
Location: Opa-locka, FL
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 base OTE $80,000–$90,000 (2% commission 1.5% booster after $50K)
Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development professional to support sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and helping execute strategic sales initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building connections, tracking performance metrics, and working cross-functionally to improve client experience and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable balancing relationship management with reporting, market research, and day-to-day coordination across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Conduct market research to identify target accounts, industry trends, and competitive activity.
- Develop and support strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives.
- Track key performance indicators and sales activity to measure progress against goals.
- Prepare regular sales and performance reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on client needs and business development efforts.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand market presence.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness throughout the sales cycle.
- Support customer satisfaction by helping address questions, concerns, and service-related issues.
- Monitor market developments and share insights that may support growth initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, pipeline activity, and business development efforts.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into business activity.
- Comfortable working with KPIs, sales reporting, and performance goals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Professional presence and confidence representing the organization externally.
- Proficiency in standard business software and CRM systems is a plus.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on client meeting and travel needs.
