Troy, MI | Hybrid | 2–3 Years Experience

A well-established law firm in Troy, Michigan is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is ready to take the next step in their career and manage cases independently while working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment.
⚖️ WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
- Independently handle assigned cases and develop case strategy
- Conduct depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients
- Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Manage deadlines, case files, and litigation strategy
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff
🔑 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–3 years of litigation experience
- Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
- Deposition experience required
- Must be capable of running a case independently
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent client-service skills and professional judgment
- Active Michigan Bar admission required
