Direct Care Staff – Boys Residential Treatment Center (RTC)
Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Staff member at our Boys Residential Treatment Center. In this role, you will provide supervision, support, and mentorship to youth while helping create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and adolescents.
Our program serves a variety of youth with different emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs, including children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are looking for individuals who are competent, patient, and confident in working with diverse populations while promoting growth, stability, and success.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and support to youth in care.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, laundry, and daily routines.
- Implement behavior management strategies and treatment plans as directed.
- Monitor resident behaviors and report concerns or significant changes.
- Complete daily documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Facilitate recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
- Transport residents to appointments, school, community outings, and activities as needed.
- Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping duties, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Support residents in developing life skills, communication skills, and positive coping strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a Residential Treatment Center (RTC), Foster Care Home, Group Home, Behavioral Health setting, or similar environment preferred.
- Experience working with youth who have behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges.
- Experience working with autistic youth is highly preferred.
- RBT certification is a plus.
- CNA certification is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and professionalism.
