Amada Punch Press Turret Operator
This is a job shop with fast paced production. After training in the manufacturing system, employees are required to perform to the established fast-paced production flow.
Reports to Production Manager and other management personnel, working in an aerospace manufacturing environment under AS9100 quality system. Ensures that products manufactured are at their highest quality.
Duties, but not inclusive:
Operates and maintains Amada turret punch press machines to produce precisely cut and shaped metal parts according to customer specifications, blueprints and quality standards, ensuring efficient production, mineral waste, and adherence to safety protocols. Set each job up based on routing report instructions and job engineering drawings. Utilize assigned tooling to complete each job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Set up, program and operate Amada punch presses for drilling, punching and forming operations: Amada AE2510NT-T45 Machine
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, sketches and CAD/CAM files to understand job requirements and specifications.
- Tooling Management: Select, load and align appropriate tools, punches and dies in the turret
- Programming: Load programs, make adjustments (including G-code edits) and optimize machine performance.
- Material Handling: Load sheet metal, secure fixtures and unload parts.
- Quality Control: Perform in process inspections, check dimensions with measuring tools and run test parts to verify quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Excellent punctuality and attendance a
- Ability to read routing report instructions and carry out directions as necessary
- Work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary
- Able to work with minimum supervision
Skills/Qualifications:
- Blueprint reading
- Computer literate
- Tools required: Micrometers and calipers,
- Experience: Verifiable with minimum of two-years experience with the above qualifications
Shift: M-F 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Range: D.O.E
Start Date: ASAP after meeting all pre-employment requirements
