Architectural Project Manager
We are currently seeking a high caliber Architectural Project Manager for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Davis, CA.
Our client is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager with 5–8 years of experience leading projects in K-12 educational facilities (DSA) and/or Multi-Family Housing. This role focuses on managing projects from early planning through construction administration, serving as a key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with California code requirements, jurisdictional approvals (DSA and entitlements), consultant coordination, and Revit-based documentation workflows, along with proven leadership in project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
This role serves as a key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal teams from concept through construction administration.
Job Requirements
- Manage projects from programming/schematic design through construction administration
- Coordinate directly with school districts, developers, planning departments, and stakeholders
- Lead DSA submissions, back-check responses, and approval coordination (K-12 projects)
- Coordinate entitlement and jurisdictional approvals (Multi-Family projects)
- Direct internal teams and oversee multi-disciplinary consultant coordination (structural, MEP, civil, landscape, etc.)
- Monitor project schedules, scope alignment, and fee performance
- Ensure compliance with California Building Code (CBC), Title 24, and accessibility requirements
- Support modernization, phased construction, and occupied campus strategies (K-12)
- Support site planning, zoning, and design review processes (Multi-Family)
- Facilitate client meetings, board presentations, and public agency coordination
- Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits
- Support bidding processes and contractor coordination
- Assist Principals with staffing strategies, workload planning, and milestone tracking
- Mentor Job Captains, junior staff, and emerging professionals
Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of architectural experience with project management responsibility
- Experience in K-12 (DSA) and/or Multi-Family Housing projects in California
- Working knowledge of DSA processes and/or entitlement and jurisdictional approvals
- Strong understanding of California Building Code, accessibility requirements, and Title 24
- Proficiency in Revit
- Experience coordinating consultant teams and stakeholder groups
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Salary : $115,000 - $135,000
