Overview
The PR Manager will build and amplify the CEO’s personal brand across business, media, and community platforms. You will craft the executive narrative, secure high-quality media placements, develop thought-leadership, and manage a consistent presence across speaking, press, podcasts, and social-elevating visibility and credibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Positioning & Messaging: Define the CEO’s brand pillars, bio, and proof points; create a media kit, speaker one-sheet, and topic slate aligned to business goals.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with local and national media; proactively pitch stories, op-eds, and expert commentary; manage inbound press.
- Thought Leadership: Ghostwrite op-eds, bylines, and LinkedIn posts; develop a quarterly content calendar; coordinate design/video as needed for high-polish assets.
- Speaking & Awards: Source and land relevant conferences, panels, podcasts, and awards; prepare talk abstracts and speaker materials; manage calendars and briefing docs.
- Reputation & Issues Management: Monitor coverage and sentiment; prepare statements and Q&As; advise on sensitive topics and rapid response.
- Digital Presence: Oversee CEO website/landing page, press room, and newsletter (if applicable); align social channels with PR cadence and analytics.
- Coordination Across Ventures: Ensure message consistency across the CEO’s various businesses and community initiatives; avoid conflicts and duplicative outreach.
- Measurement: Track and report KPIs (tier-1 hits, SOV, speaking wins, social growth, newsletter subs, backlink quality).
Qualifications
- 5 years in executive PR/personal brand management (agency or in-house); strong media network preferred.
- Portfolio of placed coverage (clips) and speaking wins; excellent writing (provide samples).
- Comfortable working directly with a senior leader; high discretion and responsiveness.
- Experience coordinating creative (design, web, video) and managing freelancers/agencies.
- Familiarity with PR tools (Muck Rack/Cision), social scheduling, and basic web/CMS.
- Preference for candidates: Has real estate, fund management and/or finance experience
