JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for working the front desk, pool grounds maintenance and upkeep (cleaning, equipment checks, etc.), bathroom upkeep (cleaning, restocking items, etc.), and facilitating pool activities that involve guest participation aside from lifeguards’ primary responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in monitoring weather and conditions and react appropriately to include evacuation of the pool, participants seeking covered shelter, and verifying conditions are safe before allowing swimmers to return to the pool.
- Make sure pool water has the required supply of chemical levels for use, maintain daily accurate records of inventory, levels, and understand all MSDS on all chemicals and testing reagents.
- Work at the front desk helping families check in while maintaining excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Keep exact records of all sales made for each day through proper inputting, including but not limited to pool day passes and merchandise sold in the cash register.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the pool area is safe and ready for guests.
- Complete opening and closing pool tasks.
- Assist CPO and Pool Manager in organizing and facilitating pool activities and events for the Water Valley community.
- Ensures all members' and participants' health and safety by knowing, understanding, and consistently enforcing safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations for the pool and aquatic area.
- Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergencies immediately in accordance with JCC policies and procedures. Completes related reports as required.

DEPARTMENT: Adventure & Experiences
REPORTS TO (title): Pool Supervisor/Lead
- Exercise good judgment and communicate concerns to your supervisor.
- Keep the check-in/pool area clean, neat, organized, and appropriately stocked with supplies.
- Let the Pool or Operations manager know if low or in need of supplies.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of RainDance and Water Valley's safety program.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a pool attendant or lifeguard role preferred.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid is preferred. However, it is not required.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed
Expected Pay: $16/hour
