Pro Shop Attendant

JOB OVERVIEW

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for working on a team or independently performing a wide range of complex administrative and clerical support duties. Duties included but are not limited to financial, sensitive, and confidential information. Individuals professionally conduct themself and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Requires knowledge of Pelican Lakes Golf Club’s company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Assists Head Professional, Assistant Professional(s), and Director of Golf.

· Works directly with the Head Professional in assisting with scheduling of seasonal pro shop staffing.

· Assists Clubs Management with all administrative duties, with leagues, tournaments, clinics, and inventory control.

· May assist the Head Professional with the entry of merchandise invoices and control.

· Knowledge of the Golf Genius program for assisting in any tournament preparation needs.

· Assist the golf shop staff in providing a clean/organized pro shop for all merchandise on display.

· Monitors & maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop

· Self- Motivated with the desire to be service and customer-focused with a professional attitude and appearance.

· May assist in training seasonal golf shop staff for proper software entry, procedures, and policies.

· Assists with golfer check-in, fee collection, and control of customer play.

· Knowledge of activities and amenities of Pelican Lakes Golf Club and works closely with other departments to utilize the Club.

· Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all company policies, services, procedures & standards.

· Maintains confidentiality of associates, departments, and company practices.

· Acts as a role model for all employees by demonstrating professional behavior and work ethic.

· Assists with data entry for administrative operations for Pelican Lakes Pro Shop, including but not limited to, the collection of receipts, inventories, billing codes, and other functions related to the operations.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

· Frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods.

· Must be able to operate a golf cart and other equipment safely.

· Normal vision and hearing ranges required.

· Able to work outdoors in cold or hot weather.

· Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
