Responsibilities
- Monitor pool activity continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents or emergencies
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as needed
- Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning pool deck, skimming debris, and ensuring water quality standards are met
- Assist guests with pool access, answer questions about pool rules, and provide excellent guest services to enhance their experience
- Perform routine pool cleaning duties including arranging chairs, scrubbing surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness of surrounding areas
- Inspect safety equipment regularly to ensure it is in good working order and report any hazards or maintenance needs promptly
- Support overall pool area upkeep by managing supplies and ensuring the environment remains safe, clean, and inviting
Experience
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Experience with pool maintenance or cleaning is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
- Ability to swim confidently and perform water rescues when necessary
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking during shifts
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
