Payroll Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee full-cycle payroll operations for approximately 2000 employees across multiple states. This role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. This will be a temp to hire role with a pay rate of $40-45 per hour, commensurate with experience. In office Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing (hourly & salaried)
- Administer payroll through ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
- Maintain payroll records, tax filings, and year-end reporting (W-2s)
- Partner with HR and Accounting on payroll data, reporting, and reconciliations
- Resolve employee payroll inquiries
Qualifications:
- 5 years of multi-state, high-volume payroll experience
- Hands-on ADP Workforce Now experience is required
- Experience in hospitality or multi-location environments
- Background as a lead or standalone payroll professional
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivots)
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
