Position: Chemical Production Operator
Location: Martin, SC 29836 (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour on W2
Duration: Contract (12 Months)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional overtime as needed
Interview: 30-Minute In-Person Interview
Position Overview
- We are seeking a Chemical Production Operator / Manufacturing Technician to support manufacturing operations in a chemical production environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical manufacturing, forklift operation, safe chemical handling, and production processes while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform production and packaging operations according to established procedures and protocols.
- Transport chemicals, raw materials, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, pumps, piping systems, and dollies.
- Monitor product quality and quantity throughout the manufacturing process.
- Follow all production procedures, quality standards, and safety policies.
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE, including respirators, gloves, and protective suits as required.
- Clean equipment and work areas following production activities.
- Coordinate waste disposal and complete compliance documentation.
- Maintain accurate production records, batch records, and logbooks.
- Communicate production status, equipment issues, and process deviations to supervisors.
- Participate in safety training, quality programs, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, chemical production, or industrial environment.
- Forklift experience required.
- Experience handling chemicals and following safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and move materials over 20 lbs.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of chemical manufacturing experience.
- Experience with batch production, packaging operations, and process documentation.
