Human Resources (HR) Specialist - Spanish bilingual

HR Specialist position at a growing manufacturing company.

• Direct hire position with excellent benefit package
• $28 - 32.00/hr.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role
• Hybrid schedule after 3 months (3 days in the office/2 days from home)

Requirements of the HR Specialist:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Bilingual English/Spanish (read & write)
• At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role
• Leaves of absence, workers’ compensation cases, and employee relations experience are highly preferred
• ADP experience is a big plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must have high moral and work ethic
• Adherence to confidentiality

Responsibilities of the HR Specialist:

Supports HR by acting as a bridge between employees and management. Handles workers’ compensation, leaves of absence, and employee‐relations issues while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

• Handles workers’ compensation claims from start to finish
• Manages employee leaves (FMLA, PDL, CFRA, etc.)
• Conducts employee relations investigations
• Leads monthly Production/HR meetings
• Supports investigations as part of the WVPP team
• Stays updated on federal/state laws and company policies
• Updates company documents based on new laws
• Maintains confidentiality of HR information
• Assists with disciplinary actions and terminations
• Provides Spanish interpretation as needed
• Translates documents between Spanish and English
• Answers phones/door and supports visitors and callers

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00 a.m. - 05:00 p.m./08:30 a.m. – 05:30 p.m.
