What You Will Do
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers analytics and emerging Agentic AI capabilities across the cooperative. This role will partner closely with the Data Analyst & Management Specialist and AI development resources to architect scalable data pipelines, organize enterprise data into usable layers, and ensure high-quality, reliable data is available for operational decision-making.
This position is foundational to enabling AI agents that support field operations, engineering, member services, and enterprise functions by delivering structured, governed, and accessible data across core utility systems.

What You Will Do
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers analytics and emerging Agentic AI capabilities across the cooperative. This role will partner closely with the Data Analyst & Management Specialist and AI development resources to architect scalable data pipelines, organize enterprise data into usable layers, and ensure high-quality, reliable data is available for operational decision-making.
This position is foundational to enabling AI agents that support field operations, engineering, member services, and enterprise functions by delivering structured, governed, and accessible data across core utility systems.
Key duties and expectations include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest data from systems such as AMI, OMS, GIS, CIS, and SCADA.
- Architect and implement modern data platforms (data warehouse/lakehouse) in a cloud environment (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
- Establish and manage data layers (raw, curated, semantic) to support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all data assets through validation, monitoring, and governance practices.
- Collaborate with Data Analyst & Management Specialist to structure data for reporting, dashboards, and business insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related role.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data architectures in a cloud environment (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and integrating multiple data sources.
- Familiarity with utility systems (AMI, OMS, GIS, CIS, SCADA) or similar operational data environments preferred.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Salary : $80,000 - $94,000
