What You Will Do:
The Distribution Dispatcher monitors and supports the safe and reliable operation of Trico Electric Cooperative’s electrical distribution system. This position works within the System Control team to monitor system status through the Outage Management System (OMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Customer Information System (CIS). The Dispatcher assists with outage response, system switching, event logging, and operational reporting while providing critical communication support between field crews, members, and operations leadership. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail‑oriented, calm under pressure, safety‑focused, and interested in developing advanced system operations skills.
What You Bring to Trico:
Electric Utility Dispatcher
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency or high‑pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn multiple operational systems
- Willingness to work shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call rotations as required
- Experience in electric utility operations, dispatch, system control, or related field is preferred.
System Operator
- Has a minimum of 12 months experience as a Distribution Dispatcher.
- Has successfully completed the first half of their DSO training program and passed an initial in-house test to prove their competencies as a DD.
- Assists in DER & BESS operations
- Independently implements load control and/or load management programs.
Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
