Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Food Service Operations to oversee large-scale food service operations across one or more locations in Lancaster, PA. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing financial performance, developing high-performing teams, maintaining quality and compliance standards, and building strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing high-volume food service operations, leading multi-unit teams, and achieving business objectives through effective financial planning and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee large-scale food service operations across one or more locations, ensuring high standards of service, food quality, safety, and compliance.
- Lead, develop, and manage teams while establishing performance expectations and accountability.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and operational costs to achieve business targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support hiring, employee development, and compensation decisions.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet business and operational objectives.
- Lead strategic initiatives that support growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Approximately 4–5 years of relevant food service or related operational experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience managing large-scale or multi-unit food service operations.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
- Excellent client relationship management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced operational environments.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.
