Managing Director – US B2B Intelligence & Data | New York
A fast-growing intelligence and data business in the digital infrastructure space is looking for a senior commercial leader to own its US market. This is one of those roles that doesn't come around often.
Full ownership of a high-growth market, a strong product with genuine traction, and the latitude to build something from a position of strength rather than starting from zero.
The person coming in will take full ownership of US revenue, build and lead a local sales team, and serve as the senior leader on the ground in New York. There's a London-based executive team to work closely with, and a business that is genuinely invested in making the US successful.
The US already generates roughly half of group revenue with a 95% gross retention rate. The groundwork has been done. This role is about acceleration.
What the role involves
- Sales: owning new business and expansion revenue across a portfolio of strategic accounts, building a go-to-market approach tailored to the US market, and maintaining strong pipeline discipline through Salesforce.
- Leadership: day-to-day management of New York-based staff, dotted-line responsibility across non-commercial team members, and close alignment with London on strategy and priorities. There are also General Management/operational responsibilities that come along with that.
- Market development: building senior relationships across investors, banks, advisors, and law firms active in digital infrastructure and TMT M&A. The client base is sophisticated and the conversations are substantive. This suits someone who enjoys that level of engagement.
- Cultural Architect: You are THE leader of the US business, the more senior person in country. With that, you are responsible for developing and maintaining a strong culture where everyone pulls in the same direction and enjoys going to work every day.
What they're looking for
Someone with a proven track record at VP or Director level in a B2B subscription, data, or intelligence business selling into financial markets. You've hit targets personally and helped your team do the same. Familiarity with digital infrastructure, telecoms, or capital markets is a plus. The ability to hold a room with a CIO, MD, or Partner is non-negotiable.
Just as important is the mindset. This is a market-building role and it suits someone who finds that genuinely energizing. The business will back you, but it needs someone who takes ownership and operates without needing extensive infrastructure around them.
This is not for the sales leader who wants to worry about dashboards and KPIs, this is someone who still has hunger and desire to be in front of clients, to help win business, and to put numbers on the board.

The role will report directly in the Chief Revenue Officer and will work closely with the entire executive committee. The leadership team is deeply experienced with a focus on being a business that treats their team with respect and fosters a good environment to be in.
