What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Director position at Madison-Davis, LLC?
Head of Compliance — New York City (Hybrid)
Madison-Davis, LLC
Madison-Davis is building out its Compliance Search business in New York City and we’re looking for a true business development leader to take ownership of the market.
This isn’t a plug-and-play seat. This is the person who sets the tone for how we grow compliance search in NYC. You’ll be responsible for driving new client relationships, expanding existing ones, and ultimately building and leading a team underneath you.
If you’ve built a book in compliance recruitment and want a platform where that actually turns into something bigger, this is where it happens.
What You’ll Do
- Own business development across compliance search in NYC with a focus on perm placements
- Leverage your network across compliance, regulatory, and governance to open and grow client relationships
- Drive full-cycle BD: outreach, meetings, pitching, closing, and expanding accounts
- Partner closely with a strong recruiting team to deliver high-level compliance talent into financial services, fintech, and corporate clients
- Act as a market advisor to clients on hiring trends, compensation, and team buildouts
- Build and scale a team of recruiters and sales professionals as your book grows
- Establish yourself as the go-to leader for compliance search within the NYC market
What You Bring
- 5–15 years of staffing or search experience with a focus on compliance or financial services
- Proven track record of opening new business and growing accounts
- Existing relationships within compliance or governance that you can activate
- Strong understanding of the NYC financial services market
- Builder mindset. You want to create something, not just maintain a desk
- Leadership capability and interest in eventually building a team
Why Madison-Davis
- Competitive base uncapped commission with real earning potential
- Year-one financial protection for proven producers transitioning their book
- Existing client relationships and active search volume to build from
- Strong recruiting infrastructure so you can focus on selling and growing
- Clear path to leadership and partnership with long-term upside
- Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k
The Opportunity
This is a chance to take a strong compliance market, put your name on it, and build something meaningful.
You’re not being dropped into a cold start. You’re stepping into a firm with deep financial services relationships, an established brand in compliance, and leadership that actually backs growth.
The expectation is simple: build a book, scale a team, and turn production into something bigger than just your own desk.
Salary : $100,000 - $350,000
