Job Description

• CONTRACT PENDING AWARD**
  
  

Plans, develops, and communicates organizational security policies, standards, and best practices to

protect sensitive information and safeguard the computer networks, systems, and data.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Researches emerging threats and recommends software and hardware solutions and procedures
  
  

and security enhancements that neutralize those threats

• Analyzes and enhances security controls throughout the company, its products, and its data stores
• Designs, establishes, and executes company security strategies
• Installs and uses software to protect an organization's sensitive information
• Assists computer users with installation or processing of new security products and procedures
• Documents, reviews, maintains, and edits security best practices and policies
• Communicates and collaborates with IT team to maintain equipment and optimize security of
  
  

system architecture

• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

• BA/BS degree (8 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree is acceptable)
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• CompTIA: Security CE
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity tools
• Experience with cloud security, virtualization, and identity/access management (IAM)
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to evolving threats
  
  

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Google Cloud Security Engineer
  
  

Physical Qualifications

• The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment
• Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
• Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted

Terms Of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment
