Job Description
- CONTRACT PENDING AWARD**

Equipment is used to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials. Operator may read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans, and may grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Operates heavy equipment such as excavating, moving, loading, and grading earth, rock, gravel, and other materials using various machinery like excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and haul
- Assists in site preparation, potentially including using equipment to create roadways, clear land, or
- Follows instructions and blueprints; reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, or other instructions
- Performs basic maintenance tasks on the equipment, such as checking fluids, greasing parts, or
- Follows all safety procedures and regulations related to operating heavy equipment and working on
- Operates the Typical Equipment: excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, haul trucks, graders,
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- HS degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Licensed operator
- Must demonstrate technical proficiency in operating machinery safely and efficiently
- Must demonstrate safety awareness, including compliance with OSHA regulations and hazard
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to focus under pressure
- Must have adaptability on dynamic job sites
- The work of this position is performed in the field where you are subject to the environment and
- Must be capable of sitting, sometimes for extended periods while performing duties
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to ascend and descend equipment
- Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to repeat the same movements
- Must have good manual dexterity
