The Transitions At Home Administrative Assistant reviews medical documentation, communicates with referral sources regarding potential and admitted patients, verifies insurance coverage, and manages patient authorizations. This role also assists with patient scheduling, collaborates with team members, and supports efficient office operations through administrative functions.
What does a Transitions at Home Administrative Assistant do?
The Transitions At Home Administrative Assistant reviews medical documentation, communicates with referral sources regarding potential and admitted patients, verifies insurance coverage, and manages patient authorizations. This role also assists with patient scheduling, collaborates with team members, and supports efficient office operations through administrative functions.
Hours: On Site
- 40 hours per week 8:00 am - 4:30pm
- Monday through Friday
- No Holidays or Weekends

Qualifications / Job Requirements:
- Business related degree or High School diploma and comparable experience in office management
- Previous experience in Eligibility and Referrals (1year HH preferred)
- Previous experience in Authorization Requests (1year HH preferred)
- Previous experience in Tracking and Managing Authorizations (1year HH preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous health care office experience
- Ability to work independently with organizational skills, to prioritize tasks.
