Position Title: Junior Power BI / Data Warehouse & BI Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA 30313 (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days/week, including Thursday; flexible for remaining onsite days)
Duration: 8 months contract (high possibility of extension)
Role Overview
The Junior Power BI Developer (Data Science & Analytics) will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insights through interactive Power BI dashboards. The role supports data-driven decision-making across cross-functional teams and involves managing, optimizing, and enhancing existing BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage existing Power BI tools and dashboards (10–15 reports already developed)
- Design, develop, and enhance Power BI dashboards for business reporting and analytics needs
- Optimize Power BI performance and improve data models for large-scale datasets (billions of rows)
- Develop and maintain DAX measures and calculations
- Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to support data integration and pipeline needs
- Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions and reporting dashboards
- Perform light analytics to support business decision-making
- Maintain documentation for data models, workflows, and reporting logic
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights
- Support multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
Must-Have Skills
- Strong familiarity with Power BI (Report development, Data modeling, Power Query)
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Ability to navigate and analyze high-volume data systems (billions of rows)
- Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
- Comfortable exploring and working through complex data environments
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) and ability to leverage them in workflows
Good to Have / Preferred Skills
- SQL and Python knowledge
- Experience with data science or advanced analytics
- Exposure to cloud/data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS Redshift)
- Experience with KQL (Kusto Query Language)
- Understanding of BI architecture and data engineering concepts
- Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Auk Analytics if applicable)
