We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Snow Plowers. In this role, you will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from driveways, parking lots, roads, and sidewalks to ensure safe passage during winter weather. This position may involve early morning, evening, or overnight shifts, depending on snowfall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to and follow the directions of the grounds supervisor.
- Effectively communicate with management, peers, supervisors, clients and vendors.
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents, damages and client concerns to your supervisor.
- Maintain truck, clean all tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store in their proper place.
- Load and unload supplies and equipment.
- Work in multiple locations.
- Adhere to all applicable safety practices.
- Promote and exhibit Company culture and values.
- Ensure facilities are clean projecting a positive image of the Company.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Snow Removal: Operate snow plowing equipment (trucks, tractors, or snow blowers) to remove snow from assigned areas.
Salt/Sand Application: Spread salt or sand on icy surfaces to prevent accidents.
Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain plowing equipment, ensuring it is in good working order before and after each use.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and working in potentially hazardous winter conditions.
Communication: Coordinate with team members or supervisors to prioritize and complete snow removal tasks.
Manual Labor: Perform shoveling or manual snow removal as needed for areas inaccessible to plowing equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating snow plowing equipment is preferred but not required (training may be provided).
- Valid driver's license (commercial driver's license may be required for some equipment).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, shovel snow, and withstand cold weather for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Key Skills:
- Equipment operation (plows, blowers, spreaders).
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills for assessing snow removal needs.
- Reliable and punctual.
Essentials:
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- High school Diploma is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Physical Demands:
- Sustained periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting and some repetitive arm and hand motion.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to sustain physically demanding outdoor work in all types of weather conditions.
