Custodian - Ypsilanti, MI

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of an office facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in office building cleaning or custodial work and take pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Shift Available: Monday - Friday| 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting throughout office areas.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, and common areas.

• Empty and replace trash and recycling liners throughout the facility.

• Clean glass, windows, doors, and other high-visibility surfaces.

• Maintain cleanliness of office furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

• Restock restroom and breakroom supplies as needed.

• Monitor and report any maintenance or safety concerns to management.

• Follow established cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and company standards.

• Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment.

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

• Dependable, punctual, and professional.

Experience:

• Previous experience in cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass required background checks.
• Previous experience in office building cleaning, janitorial, or custodial work required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
