The EVS Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a Medical Facility. This role supports patient care by ensuring all areas—including exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces—are cleaned to healthcare standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting.
Pay:$15.00 per hour
Shifts Available: Saturday–Sunday | 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and detailed cleaning of surgical and clinical areas, including procedure rooms, exam rooms, pre-op and recovery areas, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
- Safely clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to established healthcare and infection-control protocols.
- Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.
- Perform floor care tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning.
- Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport to designated disposal areas.
Experience:
- Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.
- Experience working in surgical, medical, or clinical environments preferred.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must pass required background checks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
