Position Summary
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for tracking, organizing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. This role supports warehouse or office operations by recording incoming and outgoing materials, performing physical counts, and ensuring inventory records are up to date.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments and materials.
Track inventory levels and update records in inventory management systems.
Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Label, organize, and store materials in designated areas.
Prepare and process outgoing orders or transfers.
Communicate with vendors, purchasing, and warehouse staff about shortages, returns, or issues.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized inventory storage areas.
Generate inventory reports as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer skills (inventory software, Excel, data entry).
Ability to lift and move materials (typically 20–50 lbs.).
Good organizational and time management skills.
Experience in warehousing or inventory control preferred.
Work Environment
Warehouse, stockroom, or office setting.
May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Possible exposure to forklifts or warehouse equipment.
