About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an accomplished Director of Compliance to join our team and lead our efforts in maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet or exceed all customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help us build robust systems that drive excellence, reliability, and innovation—making a meaningful impact on both our customers and the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic planning through insights, analysis, and the execution of action plans.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to design and implement production, quality, and customer service standards.
- Identify compliance gaps and develop corrective procedures and new processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Create, manage, and execute an internal audit schedule; oversee both internal and external audits to maintain compliance and performance standards.
- Generate detailed reports and documentation analyzing trends, failed processes, and corrective actions.
- Foster a culture of quality and compliance by setting measurable goals, standards, and metrics across departments.
- Develop and lead internal compliance training programs for new and existing employees.
- Manage FAA Repair Station Quality Systems and oversee AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA audits.
- Champion our commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all operations.
- Perform other related duties to support compliance and quality initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 10 years of experience in quality assurance or compliance management within aviation, aerospace, or defense.
- Deep expertise in quality management systems and corrective action processes; composites experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, FAA PMA, NADCAP, and ITAR requirements.
- Proven success working as a quality supplier for major commercial aerospace companies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, analysis, and visualization).
- Experience with Epicor MRP is highly preferred.
