Feed Mill Operator: 12 hour Day Shift, 4 - 3 rotation

Every week, our team produces approximately 8,000 tons of feed to support more than one million hogs each year. As a Feed Mill Operator, you'll play an important role in making sure our animals receive the quality feed they need every day. What You'll Do

• Operate equipment used to mix, grind, pellet, cool, and prepare livestock feed.

• Follow established procedures to produce safe, high-quality feed.

• Unload feed ingredients and finished products safely and efficiently.

• Load and move finished feed to the correct locations.

• Safely operate forklifts, yard trucks (yard dogs), and other equipment.

• Inspect equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance to help keep the mill running safely.

• Report equipment concerns or maintenance needs promptly.

• Keep accurate production logs and required documentation.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates.

• Follow all company safety, biosecurity, food safety, and operating procedures.

• Support Tosh Farms' commitment to a Zero Injury Safety Culture.

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours when needed.

• Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, feed production, grain handling, or industrial operations is preferred.

• Experience operating forklifts, loaders, yard trucks, or other heavy equipment is preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience is a plus.

• No feed mill experience? No problem. We will train dependable, safety-minded individuals who are eager to learn.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements (Essential Functions)

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently.

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb stairs and ladders.

• Work at elevated heights while following required safety procedures.

• Safely operate forklifts, yard trucks, and other industrial equipment.

• Frequently use hands and arms for repetitive tasks.

• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, including heat and cold.

• Work in dusty environments and around moving mechanical equipment.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Safely enter and exit equipment and work platforms.
