About the Role
Bowhead is seeking a talented Photographer & Graphic Designer to join its team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role combines professional photography, graphic design, and multimedia production to support a variety of projects, events, and organizational initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong creative abilities, photography expertise, video production experience, and graphic design skills. This position requires the ability to create compelling visual content while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Photography & Visual Documentation
- Capture high-quality digital photography for events, ceremonies, investigations, and organizational activities.
- Perform portrait, on-location, and photojournalistic photography assignments.
- Manage photographic composition, lighting, backgrounds, and visual presentation.
- Write accurate captions and maintain image metadata.
- Prepare photographs for internal and public release.
Graphic Design & Creative Services
- Design digital and print marketing materials.
- Create visual assets including brochures, fact sheets, newsletters, signage, logos, and promotional materials.
- Support layout design, image editing, and visual branding initiatives.
- Produce graphics for presentations and publications.
- Ensure all design work meets quality and brand standards.
Video Production & Editing
- Capture and edit video content as requested.
- Support multimedia production projects.
- Assist with video editing and post-production activities.
- Ensure content meets technical and creative requirements.
Print & Production Support
- Design materials for digital presses and large-format printing.
- Support scanning, mounting, laminating, engraving, and display production.
- Create visual materials for exhibits and presentations.
- Maintain production accuracy and quality control standards.
Content & Asset Management
- Upload and organize digital assets.
- Maintain accurate metadata and content records.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and related software tools.
- Enter project details into tracking systems and workflow platforms.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of professional photography experience.
- 2 years of video production experience.
- 1 year of graphic design experience.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud.
- Experience with digital photography and image editing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience creating digital signage and web graphics.
- Experience with newsletters, publications, and visual presentations.
- Experience supporting exhibits and historical displays.
- Additional education in photography, graphic design, media production, or related fields.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance required.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
