About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting activities that drive business performance. Working closely with senior finance leadership, this role provides financial insights, supports strategic initiatives, and contributes to process improvements across domestic and international operations.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare month-end, half-year, and year-end financial reports and analyses.
- Perform account reconciliations and review journal entries for accuracy.
- Support corporate consolidations and financial reporting activities.
- Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Develop financial models and perform variance analysis.
- Monitor budget performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Support long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Accounting & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with accounting principles and internal financial controls.
- Evaluate existing internal controls and assist with remediation efforts.
- Support accurate financial documentation and reporting processes.
- Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.
- Strategic Projects & Cross-Functional Support
- Participate in financial systems migrations and process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentations.
- Coordinate corporate cost allocation and recharge processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across North American and international business units.
- Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Preferred
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Experience supporting financial system implementations or migrations.
- Knowledge of corporate consolidations, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience working with global finance teams.
