Black Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Database Architect to support critical healthcare and regulatory technology initiatives. This role focuses on modernizing enterprise reporting systems, migrating legacy databases, and implementing advanced business intelligence solutions that support mission-critical operations.
About the Role
The Senior Database Architect will lead database migration, data warehousing, ETL development, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle technologies, Informatica, SQL development, data modeling, and enterprise reporting platforms while working closely with stakeholders to design scalable and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing system architecture and develop migration and modernization strategies.
- Create and maintain technical requirements, architecture documentation, and data models.
- Design and implement database migration solutions from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
- Build and optimize data warehouse solutions and reporting environments.
- Develop business intelligence dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful execution of project timelines and deliverables.
- Design, test, and deploy enterprise reporting and data visualization solutions.
- Support production deployments, system enhancements, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database, ETL, and reporting-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in database architecture, business intelligence, and enterprise reporting.
- Strong experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL development.
- Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
- Expertise in Informatica ETL development and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with repository migration and production deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Experience with UNIX scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of Pentaho or related reporting tools preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
