About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal RF Data Link Engineer to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team. In this role, you will design, develop, and test advanced RF communication and data link systems that support tactical missile programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative wireless communication technologies for challenging space-based and terrestrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF communication and data link systems.
- Perform communication architecture trade studies and link budget analyses.
- Develop, prototype, and test communication models and signal processing algorithms.
- Support hardware implementation and system integration activities.
- Validate communication system performance through laboratory and field testing.
- Participate in project design reviews, technical presentations, and customer briefings.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Analyze RF subsystem performance and recommend design improvements.
- Support continuous innovation in wireless communication technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- At least 8 years of programming or simulation experience using MATLAB, Simulink, C/C , or similar tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least three of the following areas:
- Communication Theory
- Digital Signal Processing
- Probability Theory
- Stochastic Signal Processing
- RF and Electromagnetic Theory
- Active U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
